Flow Full Circle

 The art of fire dancing consists of an extensive number of toys and tricks, from fire rope darts shooting out above the crowd to spinning swords and staffs around one’s body to wow and astound a crowd. Poi, a commonly used fire prop, consists of a pair of chain and Kevlar wicks that are spun around in mesmerizing patterns. Much of the art of poi began with coastal tribes from the Polynesian Islands who used it for entertainment and ritualistic purposes. Modern day poi innovations have also made possible bright, magical, fully customizable LED poi which are utilized for events that are held in non-fire safe environments.

 Dyami Kaplan and Morgan Dolginow have been practicing and developing partner poi and fire-dancing techniques together since their paths fatefully crossed at the end of 2017 in the Bay Area. They both love to innovate new dances, pick up new skills, climb trees, and put a smile on others faces. They have choreographed and performed together in the Bay Area and surrounding areas in stage performances (Flow Show SF 2022), community events (Glow Festival in Santa Cruz), private parties and ceremonies. They have taught partner fire-dancing skills to other West-Coast artists and continue to be well-connected to the local artistic community. Both come from backgrounds in dance and bring a dynamic style of movement to the art form.

Dyami is a long-time flow arts teacher, performer, and toy maker whom has been practicing since 2007. Dyami has performed in various fire troupes, including 6 years with Nocturnal Sunshine, a highly respected fire performance group from Santa Cruz. He participated in the dance program at Cabrillo College where we worked with fellow circus performer, Sarah Jaylin Mays. 

Morgan is the creator of the Art of Flow podcast, which is all about the flow arts, fire spinning, fostering community and optimizing learning. She fell in love with firedancing in 2017 and has not stopped dancing since her first burn. She has performed in the Bay area and surrounding vicinity at private events and parties, was a member of the Bay Area Troupe Ministry of Flow at Burning Man in 2018, and performed at California Great Americas' Haunt in 2019.

Give your event some extra spark or glow. Morgan and Dyami have been flowing, dancing and teaching together since the end of 2017, and specialize in partner dance. They offer multiple pre-choreographed packages to fit your event, varying from partner fire performance to solo numbers, and can even design custom packages.
